Had a fun day Friday. I got to my hotel about 2:30, unpacked, changed clothes, then headed to the Emerging Leader Poster Session. It’s amazing the different types of projects they did! I met up with Holly to check out her group, who did a project on LITA and Social Media. After that I made use of the awesome conference wifi to check up on things, then headed over to the Hilton.
I had dinner at the restaurant at the Hilton, and had an amazing salad with salmon over greens, pistachios and radishes. It’s the first time I’ve ever liked eating a radish.
Next up was the NMRT Meet & Greet, where Zora and I represented AILA. We met some fun people! That was until a little before 9, then we headed up to the Open Gaming event. I got to see Abby (who is ALASC’s chair this year, our newsletter editor last year), and meet up with my Spectrum roomie from last year, the lovely Miss Jenny. Jose, also from my Spectrum cohort, also hung out with us. We played a round of Wits & Wagers.
After that, Jenny, Jose and I headed to Jenny’s part of town. We were going to go to the Fat Cat, but it was crazy loud and we actually wanted to hear each other, so instead ended up at The Annoyance. It was nice and chill there, and I had great margaritas and great conversation. Then to bed, where I slept like the dead. I could’ve used about 10 more hours sleep, I think…
